Quick answer: To copy Telegram signals to MT4 or MT5 automatically, you need a trade copier that reads the signal channel and places each trade on your account. With Telegram Trade Linker (TTL) it takes four steps: log in with Telegram, add your MT4/MT5 account, pick the channels to copy, then set your risk and switch it on. It runs in the cloud, so there’s nothing to install and no VPS or EA to set up.
Following signals by hand works, but only when you’re at the screen. A signal arrives while you’re at work or asleep, and by the time you see it, price has moved or the trade has already closed. Even when you catch it, typing the entry, stop, target and lot size into MT4 under time pressure is where mistakes happen.
A copier fixes both problems. This guide explains what TTL does, how to set it up, and what to check before you let it trade real money.
Why Copy Signals Automatically?
You stop missing trades. The copier watches the channel all day. If you can’t watch Telegram during your working hours, you’ll miss signals, and your results will look nothing like the provider’s record.
You enter closer to the signal price. A signal followed 20 minutes late can be 20 pips from the intended entry. That changes the risk-to-reward of the trade. A copier places it within moments of the message.
You stop guessing lot sizes. You set your risk once, for example 1% of balance, and every trade is sized from the real stop distance. No rounding, no “I’ll just use 0.10 again”.
What Telegram Trade Linker Does
TTL connects your Telegram account to your MT4 or MT5 account. For each new message in a channel you’ve chosen, it:
- Reads the signal: instrument, direction, entry, SL and TP
- Matches the symbol to your broker’s name for it, including suffixes like XAUUSDm
- Works out the lot size from your risk settings and the stop distance
- Opens the trade, at market or as a pending order, with SL and TP set
- Follows edits and reply commands such as “SL to entry” or “close half”
It works with any channel you follow, not only ours, and it runs on our servers. Your computer and phone can be off.
What You Need Before You Start
- A Telegram account that is a member of the signal channels you want to copy
- An MT4 or MT5 account, live or demo, with any broker that offers MetaTrader
- Three details from your broker’s email: account number, trading password and server name
- A risk level decided in advance. Many traders start at 1% of balance per trade or less
A note on the password: a copier needs your trading password, not the read-only investor password, because it places trades. Use a strong password you don’t use anywhere else, and start on a demo account.
How to Set Up TTL, Step by Step
The whole setup takes about two minutes.
Step 1: Log in with Telegram
Enter your phone number and the code Telegram sends you. TTL uses this to read the channels you choose. It doesn’t post anything or message anyone, and your session is stored encrypted.
Step 2: Add your MT4 or MT5 account
Enter the account number, the trading password and your broker’s server, which you pick from a list. If you’re not sure of the server name, it’s in your broker’s welcome email.
Step 3: Pick the channels for this account
Choose which channels this MT4/MT5 account should follow. If you have more than one account, each one can follow different channels.
Step 4: Set your rules and switch it on
Defaults are already filled in, so you only need to change what matters to you. The most important setting is risk:
- Percentage of balance: for example 1% per trade, sized from the stop distance (recommended)
- Fixed dollar risk: for example $50 per trade
- Fixed lots: the same size every time, whatever the stop
Then switch it on. The next signal in that channel is copied to your account.
Settings Worth Knowing About
You don’t need these on day one, but they’re there when you do:
- Per-symbol sizing: a different lot size or risk for gold than for EUR/USD
- Daily loss limit and daily profit target: stop copying for the day when either is hit
- Floating-loss guard: protects the account if open trades go too far against you
- Trading hours and days per channel, including sessions that run past midnight
- Skip if price has moved too far from the signal entry
- Multiple take-profits and trailing, for channels that use them (our own signals use one TP)
- Reverse mode, which flips buys to sells, for testing
Test on Demo First
Before you connect a live account, run TTL on a demo account with the same broker for the next few signals. Check that:
- Trades open on the right instrument and in the right direction
- The SL and TP match the signal
- The lot size matches what our Forex Calculator gives for your risk
When all three look right, add your live account. If you’re new to reading signals, our guide on how to read a forex signal shows what each line means, so you can check the copier’s work.
What a Copier Can’t Do
It can’t make a signal profitable. It copies trades accurately and quickly. Whether they win depends on the signals and on the risk you set.
It can’t fix a risk setting that’s too high. If you set 5% per trade, it will faithfully risk 5% on every trade. Start low.
It can’t read every message format. Clear signals with an entry, SL and TP copy cleanly. If a channel posts signals as images or in unusual wording, check the first few copied trades carefully.
Pricing
TTL is sold as its own product. All plans have the same features and cover one MT4 or MT5 account with unlimited channels:

Check the TTL page for current prices. The free VIP membership tier with a $1,001 qualifying deposit also includes the copier.
Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work with any broker? It works with brokers that offer MT4 or MT5. TTL matches your broker’s symbol names, including suffixes.
Can it copy channels other than FX Broker Signals? Yes. It reads any Telegram channel your account is a member of.
Will it post in my Telegram or message my contacts? No. It reads the channels you choose and nothing else.
Final Thoughts
If you follow signals but can’t watch Telegram all day, a copier is the difference between taking every trade at the right size and taking some trades late at a guessed size. Set it up on demo, check a few trades against the signals, then switch to live with a risk level you’re comfortable losing on any single trade.
