FxPro Review 2026: Platforms, Real Costs and Gold Pricing

Updated 31 Oct 2026 · 9 min read

FxPro is the broker for traders who already know which platform they want. MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and FxPro’s own app are all here, under licences from the UK’s FCA and Cyprus. Pricing is fair rather than rock-bottom, and gold is better value than at most brokers we review. Two things need care: the offshore entity offers leverage that should never be used, and the inactivity fee starts after six months.

Start with the platform

Most brokers make you take whatever platform they offer. FxPro is unusual because it lets you choose, and the choice changes your costs and tools. Pick the platform first, then the account.

Platform Best for Pricing
MT4 Expert advisors, signal copiers, the biggest indicator library Standard, Raw+ or Elite
MT5 Everything MT4 does, plus more timeframes and markets Standard, Raw+ or Elite
cTrader Manual traders who want depth of market and clean charts Spread plus $35 per $1M traded
TradingView Chart-first traders who analyse on TradingView already Linked FxPro account
FxPro app & WebTrader Monitoring and simple trading on the move Linked FxPro account
For signal followers

If you copy our signals with Telegram Trade Linker, open an MT4 or MT5 account, not cTrader. TTL copies each signal’s single entry, stop loss and take profit into MetaTrader automatically. A cTrader account won’t connect to it. Our MT4 vs MT5 lesson helps you choose between the two.

Regulation and the 1:10,000 problem

Entity Regulator Retail leverage
FxPro UK Ltd FCA, UK (509956) 1:30
FxPro Financial Services Ltd CySEC, Cyprus (078/07) 1:30
FxPro Global Markets Ltd SCB, Bahamas (SIA-F184) Up to 1:200
Seychelles entity FSA, Seychelles (SD120) Up to 1:10,000

UK clients get the FCA and FSCS protection of up to £85,000. EU clients get CySEC and up to €20,000 of investor compensation. Those are strong. Clients elsewhere usually join the Bahamas or Seychelles entities, where rules are lighter and there is no compensation scheme.

Then there is the leverage. The Seychelles entity offers up to 1:10,000. At that level, an account with about $11 can technically hold a full lot of EUR/USD, which moves about $10 for every pip. One pip against you and the account is gone.

Nobody needs this, and no sensible trader uses it. Leverage doesn’t decide how much you risk, your position size does. Size every trade from your stop loss and 1% of your balance with our lot size calculator, and the leverage number never matters. The leverage and margin risk lesson shows why. If you can choose, the Bahamas entity’s 1:200 cap is more than enough for any strategy.

What trading actually costs

Account Minimum Pricing
Standard $0 Spread only, from 1.2 pips
Raw+ $100 From 0 pips + $3.50 per side
Elite $1,000 As Raw+, with volume rebates
cTrader $0 Spread + $35 per $1M traded

FXEmpire measured FxPro on MT5 in May 2026. On EUR/USD, Standard averaged 1.4 pips and Raw+ 0.2 pips. For one standard lot:

FxPro Standard$14.00

1.4 pips × $10, no commission

FxPro Raw+$9.00

0.2 pips × $10 + $7.00 commission

That puts FxPro in the middle of our list: Raw+ costs about the same as AvaTrade, more than Vantage Raw ECN at about $7.27, and well below XM Standard at $20. The $7 round-turn commission is the reason Raw+ isn’t cheaper. Several rivals charge $6 or less.

Gold is FxPro’s quiet strength

For our community, this matters most. In the same test, FxPro’s Standard gold spread averaged 32 cents, against an industry average of 33. That is roughly $32 per lot with no commission, in line with the market and noticeably cheaper than XM Standard’s 38 cents. Raw+ averaged 15 cents plus $7 commission, about $22 per lot all-in. Either way, gold traders aren’t punished here. Our gold contract specs lesson explains how to turn gold spreads into dollars.

Zero spreads on crypto and indices

In July 2026, FxPro announced it had removed the spread on major crypto and index CFDs, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, the Dow and the Nasdaq 100, on the Raw+ account, with commission charged instead. It also said Standard-account spreads on those markets were cut sharply. Availability depends on your entity, so check your own account’s pricing before relying on it.

Swaps and other fees

Overnight swaps are slightly above the industry average. On the day FXEmpire checked, holding one lot of gold long cost about $68 a night, so swing traders on gold should factor that in. Deposits and withdrawals carry no FxPro fee. E-wallet and crypto withdrawals usually arrive within a working day, cards in three to seven, and bank wires in three to five.

The inactivity fee is $10 once an account has been dormant for six months, then $10 a month. That’s gentler than AvaTrade or XM, but it still drains a forgotten balance. Withdraw before you take a long break.

Markets and research

FxPro offers about 2,100 instruments: 75 forex pairs, 40 commodities, 30 indices, more than 1,800 share CFDs, ETFs and crypto. For a forex and gold trader that’s more than enough. For someone who also wants share CFDs, it is one of the deepest lists here.

Research and education are the weak side. There are market news, an economic calendar and some articles, but live webinars aren’t currently scheduled and there is little structured learning. Beginners will learn more from our free Trading Academy than from FxPro’s own material.

What clients say

As with XM, Trustpilot currently shows no rating for FxPro. It says the rating is unavailable because of a breach of its guidelines, and that fake reviews were removed. That makes the star score useless for judging the broker.

The visible reviews are mixed. Positive ones mention tight spreads, stable platforms and good execution over years of use. Negative ones focus on slow card withdrawals, slow support replies, stop-losses hit around the daily rollover when spreads widen, and charges on swap-free accounts. Some complaints are about scammers on Telegram pretending to be FxPro. FxPro will never contact you on Telegram to manage your money, and neither will any real broker.

FxPro has been in business since 2006, has sponsored the McLaren Formula 1 team since 2018 and extended that deal in 2026. It is a well-established firm. The practical precautions are the usual ones: verify early, withdraw to your deposit method, and avoid holding tight stops through the daily rollover hour.

Who FxPro suits — and who it doesn’t

A good fit if you…

  • want to choose between MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView
  • live in the UK or EU and want FCA or CySEC protection
  • trade gold on a commission-free account
  • want share CFDs alongside forex and gold
  • copy our signals into MT4 or MT5 with TTL

Look elsewhere if you…

  • want the absolute lowest raw-account commission
  • are a beginner who wants live webinars and courses
  • would be tempted by very high leverage
  • might leave the account untouched for six months or more

Overall: 4.3 / 5. No broker on our list offers more platform choice, and FCA and CySEC licences anchor the group. Costs are mid-table, with gold a genuine bright spot. The score is held back by extreme offshore leverage, thin education and mixed service reviews.

The bottom line

FxPro is a mature, well-regulated broker that lets you trade the way you want. If you live in the UK or EU, it’s one of the safest choices on our list. If you trade gold without wanting to think about commission, the Standard account is fairly priced.

Just make two decisions deliberately. Pick MT4 or MT5 if you’ll copy signals. And ignore whatever leverage the account offers. Size from your stop loss, and FxPro’s strengths are all that’s left.

Frequently asked questions

Is FxPro regulated and safe?

FxPro is regulated by the FCA in the UK and CySEC in Cyprus, with offshore entities in the Bahamas and Seychelles. UK and EU clients get strong protection and compensation schemes. Clients of the offshore entities have lighter protection and no compensation scheme.

What is the minimum deposit at FxPro?

There is no minimum on the Standard and cTrader accounts. Raw+ needs $100 and Elite $1,000.

Which FxPro account is cheapest?

For EUR/USD, Raw+ — about $9 per lot in FXEmpire’s May 2026 test, against about $14 on Standard. For gold, Standard is reasonably priced at around 32 cents, close to the industry average.

Does FxPro have cTrader and TradingView?

Yes. FxPro offers MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and its own app and WebTrader. If you copy signals with Telegram Trade Linker, use MT4 or MT5, since TTL doesn’t connect to cTrader.

Does FxPro charge an inactivity fee?

Yes. A $10 fee once an account has been inactive for six months, then $10 a month while it stays inactive.

Why does FxPro offer 1:10,000 leverage?

Only its Seychelles entity offers that. It lowers the margin needed to open a trade but makes oversized positions very easy. Size trades from your stop loss and a fixed percentage of your balance, and never use leverage anywhere near that level.
